Detection Providers

AI Video Detector combines its own analysis pipeline with third-party detection providers. This page explains who they are, what data they receive, and how they are used.

How providers fit into the pipeline

  1. 1Upload & extraction: When you submit a video, AI Video Detector extracts representative frames using its own pipeline on Cloudflare infrastructure.
  2. 2Internal analysis: Our pipeline performs frame-level analysis, motion consistency checks, and evidence frame selection.
  3. 3Provider analysis: For Free and Starter plans, extracted frames are sent to Sightengine for frame-level AI-content classification. For Pro plans, the full video is sent to BitMind for video-level detection. Which provider is used depends on your plan.
  4. 4Result aggregation: Provider results are combined with internal signals to produce the final score, verdict, confidence label, evidence frames, and reason codes.

Provider details

Sightengine

Used for: Free and Starter plans

What they analyze
Frame-level AI content classification using their GenAI detection model. Analyzes extracted video frames for synthetic generation signals.
Data shared
Individual video frames (not full videos) are sent to Sightengine for analysis. Frames are processed in real time and not stored by Sightengine beyond their standard processing window.

BitMind

Used for: Pro plan

What they analyze
Video-level AI content detection using their deep learning models. Returns an overall AI-likelihood score, confidence value, and similarity metric.
Data shared
The full video file is sent to BitMind for video-level AI detection. BitMind does not receive user account data, billing information, or unrelated metadata.

Important notes

  • Free and Starter plans: only extracted frames are sent to Sightengine. Pro plans: the full video is sent to BitMind. In all cases, providers do not receive user account data, billing information, or unrelated metadata.
  • For URL-based scans (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or direct video URLs), the video is downloaded to our servers before being sent to the appropriate detection provider. The downloaded video follows the same processing and retention rules as directly uploaded files.
  • Provider selection is based on your subscription plan, not on video content or type.
  • Provider results are one input among several. The final score and verdict are determined by aggregating provider output with our internal analysis.
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your video data to providers for purposes other than detection analysis.
  • For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
  • For details on the full detection methodology, see Methodology.
